Bob Thomson

Bob has over 25 years of project engineering and management experience. He sits on the Board of Directors of Tri-Tech Engineering as a principal owner and serves as the President and Director of Engineering. He is responsible for the direction of all professional engineering efforts, training, and risk management. Bob is instrumental in leadership and mentoring, and contributes to the professional development within the engineering community through leadership and training in trade organizations. Project expertise includes forensic evaluations, HVAC, IAQ, pumping and piping systems, and industrial ventilation. The project work has been completed for commercial, industrial, governmental, and institutional projects.
Throughout his career, Mr. Thomson has been involved in projects centered on energy use and management. He is an expert on facility modeling, which leads to application of concepts towards energy conservation. He performs modeling and energy audits on existing facilities, and then plans programs towards reduction in energy expenditures through renovations, retrofits, and replacements. He has employed designs utilizing energy reclamation and alternative fuel systems.
Mr. Thomson has been involved with construction management, plant modernization, and system design projects within industrial, commercial, environmental, institutional, residential and governmental operations. Throughout his engineering career, Mr. Thomson has been responsible for selecting and specifying equipment and building materials for a wide variety of projects. Bob’s years of experience help him provide clients with technically sound engineering and leadership through even the most difficult projects.
